ZAGREB (Croatia), December 1 (SeeNews) – Croatia’s top food retailer Konzum provided a cryptocurrency payments option to customers at its online store as of December 1 – the first retail chain in the country to do so, it said on Wednesday.
“Currently, cryptocurrency payments are possible in our webshop, and we plan to launch this option soon in other stores throughout Croatia,” the company said in a statement.
Konzum does not levy additional charges for cryptocurrency payments at its online store, in which customers can use nine cryptocurrencies: bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), bitcoin cash (BCH), EOS, DAI, ripple (XRP), stellar lumen (XLM), tether (USDT) the USDC, the company said.
Konzum is part of the Fortenova Group, the successor to Croatia’s collapsed regional food concern Agrokor.
