Inventor Stark Chan Yik-hei, known as “Son of the Star,” will give out up to HK$500,000 worth of red packets in cryptocurrencies to encourage download of his app.
Talk+ is an end-to-end encrypted messaging app which promises a high level of data protection for its users. It comes with a wallet supports 10 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Tether and EOS, among others. Users can transfer cryptocurrency to people they are communicating with.
Users who download the app between January 4 and February 15 can get Tether worth HK$78.
In a cooperation with furniture chain Pricerite, customers can make payments in cryptocurrencies using the app.
