If you’re looking to maximize your options out on the road, I would suggest bringing along at least a warm weather piece of gear and cold weather gear, which should perfectly set you up for almost any type of environment. Finally, for that third spot on your horse’s inventory for clothing, you can hold that for a favorite outfit or piece of gear that makes Arthur really stand out in the West.
As your main companion that you’ll have for the entirety of the game, Red Dead Redemption 2 really brings home the point that your relationship to your horse is important. As your primary mode of transportation and storage (aside from being a loyal companion), your horse will also grow over time with Arthur as you bond with it and can develop its strengths further.
Seeing as Red Dead Redemption 2 has officially been announced to the masses, albeit with no idea what the game is about (John Marston’s name is not even mentioned), I thought I’d voice some thoughts. While I wholeheartedly enjoyed both Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption, I am worried by Red Dead Redemption 2. Aside from hype, which apparently can’t be stopped, seeing as the collective internet ethos freaked the hell out, let me explain why it’s important to be cautious with something like this.

As you stock up on valuable loot and money earned from heists, you have the option to contribute those items (or cold hard cash) into your gang’s funds, which in turn can be used to invest in upgrading the various sections of the camp. Though some of these upgrades will be a bit pricey (especially early on in the game), the camp provides a valuable resource by giving you easy access to ammo, provisions, and tonics that will all be more than useful when you’re going between missions, in a more cost-effective manner than getting it all individually at a general store.
As you spend time with your horse, you’ll be able to increase its stamina and health the more that you ride it and care for it, such as feeding it, brushing it, and calming it when it’s frightened or startled. However, you can also unlock new abilities and tricks in Red Dead Redemption 2 once you increase the bond with your horse at certain levels, such as rearing and a quick turn maneuver to avoid danger ahead.
League has always been consistent with pushing updates every other week. The regular intervals keep bringing in new items and builds to follow on including nerfing and buffing of the champions or the gameplay mechanics as well. Warding also comes in as one of the fundamentals of the game. What if the enemy team is doing the objective at the time? Surely you have the timer access but how would you know that they aren’t just there to pull out a team fight and then to just secure the objective? As for the main story, it’s entertaining but far from revolutionary. It has its highs and lows, the lows being the lack of development outside anyone who’s within the Van der Linde gang. You get to meet a plethora of characters through Arthur’s journey and yet most of them only appear in one or two missions, outside of a couple of exceptions. Red Dead Redemptions 2 moves at an incredible pace to the point that most people in the world are disposable and sometimes unnecessary, making me wish there was more of a focus on specific story beats as it’s spread too thin in spots. With that said, outside of the phenomenal core cast, what Rockstar does right is create exciting scenarios. This is something the company is known for, crafting well-designed and often comical heists that are sure to go awry. Whether it’s robbing a train or a stagecoach, or simply walking through town, each chapter has a handful of standout missions that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Granted, the other missions are mostly broken up into your standard affairs, but at least they’re kept lively thanks to Arthur generally being assisted by another member of the gang.
