Baldur’s Gate 3: Best Ranger Class Build

Beast Master Rangers are able to summon a companion that’s far stronger, and far more useful, than the Find Familiar spell available to other classes . The Summon Companion skill is the bread and butter of this best Ranger BG3 build, as players are able to control a Bear to keep enemies under their control while firing off arrows from afar without a fear in the world.

The Paladin proved to be the game’s most popular class over its launch weekend, according to Larian Studios. Indeed, the class is impressively versatile and powerful, almost no matter which way one takes the class. The one condition of playing a Paladin is that RP can often be affected by one’s chosen Oath.

This table displays recommended BG3 Ranger build choices for every level, including recommended spells, Class feature choices, and more to suit the gameplay of this build. There is a lot of variety in the choices that Rangers get to make while leveling, but these recommendations should work well for most combat situations, enemy types, and environments.

Paladins have three unique features that the class gains at different levels. At Character Creation, Paladins gain access to Lay on Hands, a spell that can heal or cure disease and poison afflictions and is limited by Lay on Hands charges. They also gain Channel Oath abilities and charges, which fuel unique skills related to one’s chosen Oath.

Cause a metal weapon or armour to glow red-hot and force the creature touching it to let go or receive Disadvantage on Attack Rolls and Ability Checks. If the creature is only wearing metal armour, it always rcccivcs Disadvantage. If the creature is still touching the metal, you can use a bonus action on subsequent turns to deal another 2d8 Fire damage and force the creature to let go or receive Disadvantage.

Touch a creature to grant it protection against poisonious influences. You neutralise all poisons affecting it, grant it Advantage on Saving Throws against being Poisoned, and grant it Resistance to Poison damage.

Some other races may offer more HP or Strength, Halloween mods console which can be beneficial for a melee support role like the Oath of Devotion Paladin, but this single ability will unlock many more doors – figuratively and literally.

Transform yourselfand all nearby party members into tiny clouds of mist to avoid attacks. You become Resistant to non—magical damage, gain Advantage on Constitution, Dexterity and Strength Saving Throws, and become tiny in size.

Summon a flaming sphere that deals 2d6 Fire damage to nearby enemies and objects. It also sheds bright light in a 6m radius, and dim light for an additional 6m. On a successful save, enemy creatures still take half damage.

The Ranger and Rogue multiclass build makes for an exceptionally powerful combination, as long as a character chooses the Gloomstalker and Thief subclasses for each class. The Gloomstalker subclass for the Ranger grants lots of stealth-related abilities, but not Sneak Attack.

Oath of Devotion Paladins can choose from four Fighting Styles at Level 2: Defence, Duelling, Great Weapon Fighting, or Protection . The Defence bonus is the most widely applicable with a simple +1 to AC when wearing any Armor. The Protection Fighting Style offers a new Reaction that imposes a Disadvantage on enemy rolls nearby, but requires the Paladin to have a Shield equipped.

Flood a creature‘s mind with an illusion of the last thing that attacked it. Each turn, it takes 1d6 Psychic damage. Each time it takes damage from another source, the damage type of Phantasmal Force changes to that damage type.
