By making further use of the Spinner’s unique mechanics, it could become an incredibly useful tool for Link in a new adventure. It could ride on surfaces that neither Link nor Epona would be able to cross normally while letting him fight at the same time. The Spinner could also be adapted into one of the Sheikah Slate’s new features if it returns in Tears of the Kingdom , strengthening the argument for bringing it back. Twilight Princess is a Zelda game worth replaying before TOTK , and the Spinner was one of its more interesting new id
Nintendo hasn’t revealed much in the way of information regarding the sequel to **The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ** , but it is possible that the game could incorporate a scrapped feature from Ocarina of Time . The first animated teaser in 2019 showed Link and Zelda exploring some ruins where they seemingly encountered Calamity Ganon. However, no gameplay footage was shown until E3 2021 when Nintendo released a proper trailer for the game. This trailer shows Zelda falling into a pit of darkness before cutting to gameplay footage that showcases new features coming to the long-awaited seq
In Breath of the Wild , there are cameos from Twilight Princess and other past Zelda games in the form of special armor in the DLC. These include Midna’s helmet and the infamous Majora’s Mask. They may be a small detail, but they’re at least partial proof that the events and characters of previous games are present in BOTW ‘s universe. Where exactly BOTW fits into Legend of Zelda ‘s split timelines is unclear, but it’s widely regarded to be at the very end of one of them or a united timeline, so almost any character from past games could theoretically appear in BOTW
The Tears of the Kingdom trailer doesn’t show much, but there is another two-headed dragon symbol. This one is different from the Ouroboros and is related to Mesoamerican cultures, which could have offered some inspiration to the design of the Zonai ruins in Breath of the Wild . Link pushes open a stone door that has a dragon with two heads meeting at the top instead of two dragons eating each other’s tails. The two-headed dragon symbolizes two things in Mesoamerican culture; first is the power of the earth, but the second is calamit
**The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ** must revisit certain locations from its predecessor, Breath of the Wild . For the first time in Zelda history, Nintendo is providing a sequel that takes place in the same version of Hyrule not separated by ages. While many locations have spanned the series’ entries like Death Mountain and The Lost Woods, they have always been completely morphed to suit the specific game’s aesthetic. This time, the locations must distinguish themselves without completely altering Breath of the Wild ’s topogra
Midna is Link’s sidekick in Twilight Princess . She frees Link from his imprisonment at the start of the game and accompanies him throughout. At first, she has her own agenda and Detective Conan Anime seems to care little for Link, treating him like a servant and refusing to tell him why she sought the Fused Shadows that they collect. After Zelda sacrifices herself to save Midna’s life, however, she has a change of heart. It’s eventually revealed that she is the leader of the Twilight Realm, and was deposed and cursed by Zant prior to the events of the game. Midna may be a rather annoying Zelda sidekick at the beginning of Twilight Princess , but she and Link grow close over time, and both are sad to separate by the end of the g
If Zant does appear in BOTW 2 , he could become an antagonist again. How big of a villain he would be is hard to predict, but it can be inferred based on what’s been revealed so far. The first trailer for Breath of the Wild 2 , as seen on Nintendo ‘s YouTube channel, showed a glimpse of who is presumably the main antagonist, a withered mummy believed – but not confirmed – to be Ganon sealed away deep beneath Hyrule; whether it is Ganon or not, the role of the main villain appears to be filled, so Zant doesn’t seem likely to be more than a secondary villain. It’s possible that he will become Ganon’s minion once again, and wield his Malice the same way he used Ganondorf’s power in Twilight Princess . If Zant does return as a villain in BOTW 2 , he could also be the antagonist of his own questline or DLC, like Mi
The Hyoi Pear’s use and effect were simple. Link would place the pear on his head, and a seagull would swoop down and eat it. From there, the player would be able to control the seagull until it either took damage, or the player willingly gave up control. While the idea sunds about as silly as Wind Waker ‘s Link playing a theremin , it was quite useful, as the seagull could find treasures and even solve some puzzles. It was an odd item, but one that could have plenty of potential for a second appearance. After Breath of the Wild required Link to survive in post-calamity Hyrule, being able to recruit the local wildlife for help in Tears of the Kindgom could be a good next s
