Specifically, Greene clarified with the game’s new cosmetic crates that players will be limited in the number of crates that can be received each week, as crate prices will be reset every Monday. Players will (currently) be limited to six crates per week, while trading and distribution of the crates will be free through the Steam Marketplace. Greene also provided some images of new items that can be found in the two new free-to-open crates coming with the Monthly Upd
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, CES 2025 high tension game is set on a massive 8×8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4’s capabilit
Pushing past six million copies in the past few weeks, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has dominated the Steam charts throughout this year alongside continued monthly updates, with the game’s upcoming August updates to be one of its most expansive
On the technical side of things, PUBG is a much more hit-and-miss experience, and your mileage (as far as performance) is going to vary greatly on PC, depending on your build. Personally, PUBG has been a mostly smooth experience with my build that includes an NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card (which is just above the game’s recommended spec of a GTX 1060 GPU), 32GB of RAM, and an i5 processor, though the game’s optimization is far from ideal. It’s come a long way now from its Early Access state, but there is definitely more work to be done to make PUBG a completely “stable” experie
A new post on the community forums for PUBG on Steam revealed that a new update will be heading to the game’s PC version, hot on the heels of the recently-released patch for the Xbox One version of the title. Specifically, the new update packs in bug fixes and seeks to address more of the game’s technical performance, while introducing some new cosmetic changes, such as a new design for the energy drink so it looks less like a knockoff Red Bull
Bluehole and PLAYERUNKNOWN (Brendan Greene) have been hard at work on their latest patch for PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS . The Early Access Month 2 Update brings a new vehicle, a new weapon, client performance optimization and much more. The update is scheduled to go live on May 25 5PM KST/1AM PDT/8AM UTC and is expected to take approx. 1 hour to compl
In the hours that I’ve played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , most of those fears have gone away from the start. That isn’t to say Battlegrounds goes completely against the grain when it comes to most Early Access survival sims – there are bugs a-plenty and what’s actually available in the game for players is a bit sparse at the moment (though frequent updates are regulating that). However, I find what PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds does best so far is capture what I like the most about survival games – that intoxicating stress of fighting for your life – while stripping away almost all of the mechanics that I often clash with in the ge
The next Monthly Update will also introduce the game’s first new paid cosmetic items through a “crate and key system,” which Greene took time in the community forum to address. Due to some of the negative reaction towards implementing the system, Greene expressed that the introduction and testing of the new paid cosmetics will “serve as the foundation of a healthy economy after launch,” and will aim to “benefit all players – both who are willing to pay and who are not willing to pay for vanity items.” However, Greene also addressed that “our messaging wasn’t clear” in terms of implementing the new system, and added that the team will “try to communicate better moving forwa
Adjusted squad team colors to make them more consistent between different colorblind options
Added a function where a player can select more detailed criteria for the “Cheating” category in the in-game report
But for as many flaws as PUBG has, both subtle and incredibly noticeable, it’s also the game I’ve just wanted to keep coming back to month after month after month. By breaking down the core mechanics of survival games into matches that are both intense and easy to hop back into, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has provided a multiplayer experience that plays out drastically different each time, and yet is just as exhilarating each time that I p
Since it debuted on Early Access last March and finally launched last month, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has shown little signs of slowing down with regular new updates and content being added, with PC players getting a new update on the hori
It’s difficult to discuss the lawlessness of the old west without bringing train robberies. Heck, there was even a mission in Redemption titles “The Great Mexican Train Robbery” but sadly, it involved stealing an army train and not sticking up hapless passeng
