Sean Sanders is the founder and chief executive officer at Revix. He is also a technology entrepreneur and a CFA Charterholder.

As an intelligent investment management platform, Revix provides its customers with simplicity and trust, and Sanders is committed to helping these customers through the provision of portfolios and bundles of the world’s top cryptocurrencies.

Previously, Sanders worked as a tech analyst at Sabvest, as a portfolio manager at General Pacific Management Services, and at venture capital firm Knife Capital.

He also founded three start-ups before Revix – multipurpose online university application system, Application Portal; event-driven proprietary trading firm, Sataya; and crypto-asset advisory firm Blocktree Capital.

In this episode of Business Talk, Sanders discusses the recent Bitcoin price drop. He also explains what leverage investing is and outlines how this was partially to blame for the fluctuation.

Sanders talks about why Bitcoin has been underperforming relative to the rest of the cryptocurrency market, highlighting that there are many new cryptocurrencies that are offering significant improvements in terms of their functionality and architecture.

He then discusses the types of new customers and interested parties that Revix is encountering, including high net-worth individuals and even local banks.

Sanders also outlines the three biggest trends that he expects to see in the 2022 cryptocurrency industry, which are:

  • Increased regulation;
  • The bursting of the NFT bubble; and
  • The growth of decentralised finance (DeFi).

He acknowledges that the use of cryptocurrency for illegal activities remains a big hurdle, especially in the eyes of regulators, and explains how he envisions the situation being resolved as cryptocurrency increasingly becomes part of the mainstream.

Sanders closes by discussing an exciting promotion that Revix is running where you predict what the Bitcoin price will be at the end of the year. If yours is one of the three closest predictions, you will receive Bitcoin cufflinks worth £300.
